Who do you trust when contemplating a purchase? The manufacturer? Or customers who have actually purchased the product and used it? For most of us, it’s probably the testimonials of the people we trust most.
GreatNonprofits is to hard-working organizations what Zagat is to restaurants. It’s ranked and reviewed by everyday people like you who have been influenced — both negatively and positively — by an organization. Great Nonprofits provides users the ability to give firsthand accounts of their experience and is the only charity ranking system based solely on feedback from members, volunteers, and affiliates. Other charity ranking sites rely on number crunching and use complicated charts and rate the efficiency of an organization based on numbers. Where are the real stories of individual satisfaction (or dissatisfaction)? Great Nonprofits has them. They want to hear your story and so does AAUW.
Last year, AAUW was rated by supporters like you and recognized by GreatNonprofits as a top-rated women’s empowerment organization and as a top education organization. We were greatly moved by the compelling stories of those who were helped by AAUW. This year, GreatNonprofits has invited AAUW to partner with them for the 2011 Women’s Empowerment Campaign, and we want to once again be ranked as one of the top organizations advancing equality for women. But we need your help!
Share your story by March 31 to help put AAUW in the running to be named a top rated women’s empowerment organization for 2011.
Everyone knows that an organization is only as good as its supporters and members. AAUW is great because of individuals like you, who embrace the mission of advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. Read the stories of the accomplished individuals who have benefited from our collective efforts — and remember to share yours!
